Let's Grow Your Confidence!

Do you like the idea of a creative free-flowing learning environment, but every now and then, you’re hit with waves of panic? Do you worry that the kids don’t know enough or you’re not doing enough to help them?

I want to share 25 years of experience with you - I’ve seen what works, and what was a waste of time. Before you spend thousands of dollars on unnecessary curriculum purchases, let’s conquer the fears that are pushing you toward it all. Wouldn’t it be great to get your confidence to a place where you’re not swayed by fancy marketing or pressure from others? Let’s undo some of the stories in your head about what “kids have to learn” by a certain age. You may be just starting on your homeschooling adventure or knee-deep into it, but if you’re struggling with self-doubt or second-guessing, let’s conquer some of that together!

Sue Patterson is an author and an unschooling coach with over 25 years of experience in the homeschooling/unschooling communities. She helps families who aren’t happy with their educational situations and shows them how learning more about unschooling might help. Through a variety of platforms and coaching options, she helps families figure out how to homeschool in a way that creates more connection, learning, and joy - without all the tears, power struggles, and disappointments.

Sue is a wife and a mom to three grown unschoolers. They’re now 32, 30, and 27 - all off on their own young adult adventures with degrees, careers, and families - and they loved their childhoods! She loves sharing her insights and experience with families who are looking for alternatives to the status quo.

Sue runs Unschooling Mom2Mom, widely popular on all the social media platforms and now has a weekly podcast too - Unschooling Mom2Mom! She offers 1:1 and group coaching, courses, guides, and calendars. She is on a mission to help families know that they have options!

Connect with Courage

Have you and your kids experienced a little more anxiety or stress this year (can you say global pandemic…)? I am a licensed therapist and play professional, here to talk to you about how to connect with courage to your kids - and how even the most trivial (or annoying) interest can be the foundation for better mental health and learning.

This talk will focus on the benefits of play for children and adults and begin to delve into how you can increase your family's well-being through valuing play in all of its forms. We will also dive into fears and emotional roadblocks, as well as creative solutions to logistical problems that get in between you and your children connecting over their interests. We will do “hands-on” exercises that help you apply this exploration to your actual life and kids!

Roya Dedeaux, M.S., LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a private practice that focuses on parenting and play. She has spent the majority of her personal and professional life inspiring others to become more playful. She has been a featured or keynote speaker at over 60 conferences, speaking about the importance of supporting kids interests and using play with purpose to improve relationships, learning, mental health, and overall well-being. As a grown homeschooler, she conducted the largest study related to mental health and homeschooling in the United States. Her first book, Connect with Courage: practical ways to work through fear and find joy in the places your kids take you, is available at all major book retailers. Roya specializes in using art in her therapy practice, and as her own creative outlet, she makes and sells handmade jewelry as Royaboya Handmade. Roya also runs the Royaboya Handmade Bazaar, a virtual event for small businesses across North America. She recently launched a youth-entrepreneur sponsorship program that supports kids who are interested in learning how to run small businesses. She loves to play with her wonderful children, husband, and animals where they live and homeschool in Southern California.

Neural Mapping Realities

Everything in our physical reality started off as nothing more than a simple thought that was vibrated into existence. How can we give our children the freedom to create a new world that only they can see? Join me as we deconstruct cognitive neural development and the body's ability to create new neural networks in the mind at such a young age with the primary focus on allowing children to create & "draw" their own neural maps instead of us adults "imprinting" our outdated maps onto our children as *this is the way its done* mentality. "The distance between your dreams & your reality is movement & vibration.

Anthony Umina is on a mission to help the world connect; physically, emotionally and energetically both with themselves and others. His training and educational background began in 2001 with his fascination with the human body, specifically neurology & kinesiology. This is where he discovered that movement is the fundamental basis of life. Coincidentally, this led him into a very fruitful dance career, which took him to over 25 countries around the world teaching, performing, and competing. Anthony built multiple dance schools in different cities across the US and in 2011 decided to become a doctor. For the past 10 years, Anthony has studied neurology-based chiropractic with a focus on cognitive neural development. In July 2016, at the depth of his program, Anthony became aware of a fundamental problem within our educational model and developed a paralleled passion. Anthony is a student doctor & senior clinician with a focus on prenatal, perinatal, and pediatric care while simultaneously following his passion for decentralizing education globally by returning the power of learning to the home and connecting families and children together through a fully autonomous open sourced educational global ecosystem - For more info please visit: www.WorldSchool.org
